The seven questions to ask before you claim any SaaS deal
Published August 22, 2026
A discount is only a saving if the tool survives contact with your team. Before you claim, ask:
1. What happens at renewal? Many deals apply to the first term only.
2. Is the offer tied to a plan you would actually choose, or to an inflated tier?
3. What are the eligibility rules: company age, funding stage, headcount?
4. Can you export your data if you leave, and in what format?
5. How many seats are included, and what does seat number six cost?
6. Does support come with the discounted plan?
7. Is there a hard usage cap that will trigger overage billing?
If you cannot answer all seven from the deal page, ask the vendor before you commit. A good partner answers in a day.
